Niagara Falls has nothin' on this

Greetings from Iguazu Falls! We are in the hotel on Sunday afternoon, just waiting for out approximate 8 p.m. flight tonight. We arrived into Foz de Iguazu Friday night and settled in to our hotel. We played some cards and called it a night early on Friday, as we were getting up early to see the falls.

For those that aren't up to speed on your natural waterfalls, Iguazu Falls is considered the largest set of waterfalls in the world. It has 275 different waterfalls, which span the borders of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. We did not go to Paraguay, as their is no direct entrance option to the falls from Paraguay, and we needed a visa for Paraguay.

We made our trip to the Argentina side, as we had an excursion later into the Brazil side. We saw the falls and were absolutely amazed. The Argentinian side has approximately twice the number of falls as the Brazil side, so naturally, the view would be better from the Brazil side. So, we saved the main attraction for later.

After about 4 hours, we went over to the Brazil side and viewed the falls.Unbelievable...the photos and videos do not do it justice. We then went to our excursion, which was a boat ride on the Iguazu River through one of the waterfalls. We got absolutely drenched and loved every second of it. It was amazing and one of the coolest things I have ever done.

After about 10 hours of water fun, we headed back to dry land and to our hotel. Pretty tired, we played some cards, at some Pizza Hut, and went to bed.

I have added a video section for some videos I took that I posted on YouTube. Enjoy!

I will be home on Friday...

Matt
