Greetings from Canada!

Hello from the great Northwest!

We safely arrived into Vancouver on Saturday evening around 7:00 p.m; we had no problems with customs (we still have not amended Stephanie's passport for her new last name), and really had more problems checking in at the American counter in St. Louis than in Canadian customs. We will see how it goes on the way home. Anyways, after a lengthy ordeal in just getting our bags, where it seemed as though the baggage handlers took a break midway through, we finally received our bags and made it out around 7:30-ish p.m. Jill (sister) was there waiting for us and we made our way to their home in suburban Vancouver (Pitt Meadows).

Their house is gorgeous! They live in a community that is very Pleasantville-esque, with almost cottage-like style homes in their subdivision. It almost seems like we should be on the beach somewhere, and the temperature feels like we are on the beach! I don't think it has gotten above 75 degrees once, which is amazing for late June! We just kind of hung out at home once we arrived, which was around 8:30 p.m., played with Luke (Noah was already asleep), and caught up with Jill and Bruce.

On Sunday, we took a trip to Capilano Suspension Bridge, which was fun and scary at the same time. Luke had no appreciation for how scary it was! The picture at the top is of the bridge, and we did not bring our camera cord, so photos will be uploaded later. We played on the mini-suspension bridges and walked around and had some lunch. It was a lot of fun.

Today, we went to Golden Ears Provincial Park and Alouette Lake. It was beautiful, and we had a gorgeous day to go. Luke and I skipped rocks across the lake for quite a while, and Noah was very content to watch the kids swimming in the lake and dip his toes in the water. We had some great views of the mountains as well. Luke and I played catch and we headed home, slurpees in hand, before watching The Bee Movie with Luke while Noah took his nap.

We are about to head out shortly...Luke and Noah have swim lessons and I need to pick up Bruce at the train station before we meet everyone for the lessons. We are having a great time up here! More blogging with future adventures...we return back to St. Louis late on Thursday night.
