Rain, rain, go away

I have been here for 8 days, and it has rained 7 of the 8 days. The weather stinks! But, everyone keeps telling us that we came to Italy at the wrong time of year...oh well.

The food is good...a little different than US food, but not too bad. Supposedly, Rome has the best pizza in Italy, so I am looking forward to trying it this weekend. We arrive into Rome via train on Friday night @ 6:30 p.m., and we are touring St. Peter's Basilica, which is where Pope Pius XII found his tomb in 1939. They were actually looking for a different Pope's tomb and found his body...we are planning on hitting the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel Saturday, and the Roman Coliseum on Sunday.

Other than that, the audit is going well...just over the halfway point. They have a lot of problems here...basically, since this is a smaller site for Monsanto [about 80 employees], they don't get audited as frequently. We only return to the smaller sites if we issue a weak opinion [scale: Excellent, Good, Weak, Unacceptable]. They are getting close to a weak opinion.

Coming home in 9 days...looking forward to it...if anyone has plans for the Super Bowl or Mardi Gras, holler at me. Probably just going to chill and watch the Super Bowl at my place if anyone is interested...
