Sightseeing in DC

Steph arrived safely yesterday, and in a stunning turn of events, arrived half an hour early to DC. She successfully navigated her way to the airport and we met for a late lunch. I worked the rest of the day and we met up and left around 6 for some sushi and sightseeing....

While sushi wasn't Steph's cup of tea, I thought it was really good. we ate at a place called Kaz Sushi Bistro. We then headed out for a moonlight tour of the monuments, which we luckily got on since they didn't tell us reservations would be a good idea. It was a lot of fun, though, and I should have some pics posted this weekend. We saw almost everything, and we got out and stopped at the Jefferson Memorial, FDR Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and Iwo Jima Memorial. We also drove by the new WWII memorial, which looked awesome.

The best part of the trip? Us dropping each person off at their hotels on the way home instead of going back to our starting point. My great temper had us get out next to a metro station and go home, which was actually faster. The best part was the trolley seemed to die, in a rainstorm, right after we got out for the metro. It was pretty funny.

The audit is getting close...doing some sightseeing today with my sis, her hubby, and their four kiddos, then spending the weekend with them at their house just outside of Baltimore, MD. Looking forward to a good weekend. Talk to you all soon.
